METALWORKING FLUID MAGAZINE is dedicated to publishing
information based on professional engineering experience and legal expertise in the
development and advancement of the safe, efficient, and responsible management of metalworking fluids.
METALWORKING FLUID MAGAZINE is the most comprehensive electronic
magazine dedicated exclusively to the metalworking fluid industry in the
world. METALWORKING FLUID MAGAZINE is also the most highly viewed
publication dedicated exclusively to the metalworking fluid industry on the
internet.
MWF MAGAZINE is a publication for
Manufacturing Engineers, Plant Managers, Maintenance Managers, and anyone who has
responsibility for metalworking fluids at their facility. This publication will
provide information from authors who have had this responsibility themselves, to assist
you in the development of your knowledge base and your decision making process with
regards to metalworking fluids.
MWF MAGAZINE is a not a scientific
research publication for chemical engineers only. That said, the publications of researchers around
the world are the most heavily relied upon resource, and are referenced
throughout the publication. You are encouraged to review their work. We don't really care if
you call them Metal Removal Fluids, Metal Working Fluids, Metalworking Fluids,
Coolant, or Suds;
just manage them properly and wash them off your hands. Our work is based on
successful real life experiences consulting and managing MWF programs for major
manufacturers, years of metalworking fluid formulation experience, and contributions from readers.
Connie Blevins is responsible for Database Management at Metalworking Fluid Magazine. She works to ensure that all listing information is updated and accurate. She has worked on and off with Mr. Fischer and Ms. Crossman since 1993. At that time, she was secretary of the Environmental Health and Safety Department of Dresser Industries. In that capacity, the EH&S department was responsible for all facets of metalworking fluid management.
Dom Ruggeri is the technical expert at METALWORKING FLUID MAGAZINE. He
is a chemist by degree, who brings the expertise of over 25 years of
metalworking fluid formulation. His experience is not limited to the
lab. Dom has seen the inner workings of formulation from the small shop to
the largest manufacturers, and has unmatched hands-on experience at the
manufacturing site, solving specific application and maintenance problems across
the country. His expertise further includes the application of the various
specialty chemical additives. He is well recognized in the community of
formulators and is an active member of STLE and ASTM. He is a frequent
speaker at professional events and has unsurpassed expertise in foam and foam
management. He currently chairs an ASTM core group on metalworking
fluids. His generosity is unmatched, as he has taken a great many hours of
his time to personally answer many of the questions presented by the Readers of
METALWORKING FLUID MAGAZINE on our FEEDBACK page. We simply would not be
the same publication without Dom.
Lisa Crossman is a Registered Professional Engineer in the
State of Texas with a degree in Environmental Engineering. Ms.
Crossman worked for Dresser Industries as a Safety Engineer. As such she was
responsible for employee safety training, facility inspections, investigation of
work-related illnesses and injuries, and records management for OSHA compliance.
She also assisted with the management of the metalworking fluids program
and environmental reporting. In addition, Ms. Crossman has ten years of experience
as a consulting engineer designing and managing projects for municipal water and wastewater
systems and facilities. She has been a tireless and dedicated worker, and
was instrumental in the earliest stages of development of METALWORKING FLUID
MAGAZINE. We proudly welcome her to Metalworking Fluid Magazine.
Scott is a 30 year vetran of the computer sciences. He cut his teeth on a RadioShack Model II (Z-80 Microprocessor) and went on to learn JCL and COBOL for the Mainframe markets.
