Is there a way to precipate out or remove Mg from hard water with a chelating agent. Can it be filtered out(will it precipitate out)

Dear John Try adding TKPP or EDTA both will precipitate somewhat and remove Ca and Mg. Foam will go up if used to much. Good Luck! Bruce
