The November 2012 issue of TLT provides a Q&A session with Certified Metalworking Fluids Specialist Richard Butler titled "Condition Monitoring of MWFs" but that topic is only covered briefly.   On page 17, the interviewer and Mr. Butler discuss techniques that require equipment and analysis you can't afford and do not need for factory condition monitoring of MWF's.  Page 18 provides a far more interesting insight into the new basestock material oil-soluble polyalkylene glycols (OSP) and their importance in operations where a varnish problem is present.  Other base stock options are also touched on.  Nothing in depth, but its always nice to have something related to MWFs in each edition of TLT.  Browsing around outside the MWF area, there are lots of unrelated interesting articles to read.  Our links to TLT are provided courtesy of STLE - a not for profit organization.
