We just have received notice from STLE that the deadline to sign-up for the Metalworking Fluid Management Certificate Course (November 1-3) has been extended.  PULL THE TRIGGER AND DO THIS.  It's a smart investment.  I have been working in, or otherwise covering the news for the Metalworking Fluid Industry for 20 years.  In that time, the STLE courses have established themselves as the best source for training for Plant Managers , MWF Salesmen, and anyone else with responsibility for MWF management.  Your other basic requirement is to read the book Metalworking Fluids, 2nd Edition (Jerry Byers). 

The MWF Certificate Course I last attended wasn't perfect, but it was pretty good, and I have reason to believe they much better now.  See our Diary of coverage of the 2007 version of the Certificate Course of the TECHNOLOGY page.  Since that time, I attended the MWF course offered at the STLE Annual Meeting in 2010, and found it to be significantly improved and very well presented.  When we get a chance to attend the newest version of this course, we will provide the usual daily report so you will know exactly what to expect.
