Metalworking fluid maker Blaser Swisslube has earned the USDA Certified Biobased Product Label for 11 products. The products also have preferred Federal Procurement status – the federal government is now required to track and increase its purchases of products made from plants and other renewable agricultural materials.  The USDA Certified Biobased Product Label verifies that the product’s amount of renewable biobased ingredients meets or exceeds prescribed USDA standards. Biobased products are goods composed in whole or in significant part of agricultural, forestry or marine materials. In regards to Blaser Swisslube products, it is mainly the ester/vegetable oil content. These renewable resources are beneficial for both the operator and the environment.
