Separation equipment accounts for 22% of Alfa Laval's sales.  They have been around f o r e v e r.  We appreciate them most for having introducing portable centrifuges to the metalworking fluid industry over a decade ago.

Separators with high rotation speeds perform the continuous separation of a wide range of solids from either one or two liquids. High-speed separators are primarily used for separating fluids.  As a result of the centrifugal force in separators, the fluid/particles with the greatest density collect in the outer periphery of the separator bowl. Both fluid phases are then discharged through separate outlets.
