Hangsterfer's Laboratories has taken enormous strides in becoming compliant with GHS. The GHS is an acronym for The Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. It is a United Nations (UN) system that has been adopted by OSHA.

Hangsterfer's recently trained their distributors on the requirements of GHS. Personnel that come in contact with chemicals found in the workplace must be trained in the new GHS standard by December 1, 2013. The GHS states in Chapter 1.4, Section1.4.9, the importance of training all target audiences to recognize and interpret label and/or SDS information, and to take appropriate action in response to chemical hazards. The elements in the GHS provide a mechanism to decide if the chemical product produced and/or supplied is hazardous, and to prepare a label and/or Safety Data Sheet as appropriate. This helps to ensure the safe use of chemicals as they move through the product life cycle from "cradle to grave."
