Obtaining and maintaining the proper concentration at separate machines is a lot of work. Mueller Geraetebau of Germany manufactures a pair of quality digital metalworking fluid mixing units. The mixers are specifically designed to take advantage of the common set-up where the same emulsion is required on different machines. The emulsion is pumped without spillage to the individual machines over distances of up to 400 meters. Delivery heads of 30 meters are possible. The units can be adapted to drinking water outlets by means of backflow preventers for several categories of mixes. As manufacturers continue to acknowledge the seriousness of managing their metalworking fluids, they need to automate and eliminate as many variables as possible. Concentration is a variable that is critical to control.
