Is there any benefit to mixing coolant with de-ionized water? We have a large source of DI water here so price is not a concern. We are using Blaser 2000 Universal and TrimSol Blue. Thanks

I've heard that ozonisation can help to heep the coolant longer in filtraion units. What did you think about this method?

Hi, we are currently using trim VHP E812 coolant in our Toyoda horizontal mills with high pressure coolant. We have several employees complaining about rashes caused by the coolant. I was just wondering if you had heard of this problem from anyone else and do you have any recommendations on a different coolant we could try.

Hello. Thanks for a terrific e-mag. You had an article about Triton's UV-light systems a year ago or so. I've also read about that they have systems that works well in opaque fluids (AIHA journal march/april 2002).

Hello : I am looking for a supplier of a UV light system to kill bacteria in MWF that will work on sumps 200 gallons and less, I did find one at Triton but it is for large sumps only. Thanks DN Canada

Dear Sirs; I understand that ozone is used in the US to keep the bugs at a low level.  What concentration is needed?  Are all types of bacteria and fungi removed or does some survive it better? BM

What backup concentration tests would you recommend for semi-synthetic fluids - refractive index being the primary.  Also, would the use of hydrogen peroxide be effective in controlling the growth of anaerobic organisms over a weekend shutdown period?  Is the ammonia-like odor always due to the growth of micro-organisms? Dear Sir. I am an expert in steel pipe manufacturing co. and my company use a lot of cutting oil.  As you know soluble cutting oil emulsions are subject to bacterial action and it is rust-preventative properties, and promotes oil water separation.
